Your Role:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Distribution Centre in Sheffield. In this senior operational role, you will have Full responsibility for the running of our Distribution Centre, ensuring service excellence across all warehousing activities 

You will lead multiple teams and managers across core distribution functions, driving performance against safety, service, quality, compliance and cost targets across all shifts

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, on-site, Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm with occasional weekend flexibility should it be needed.

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Distribution Centre, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational efficiency across all shifts
  • Lead, coach and develop Distribution Shift Managers and Team Managers, building a high‑performing, engaged and accountable management team
  • Own operational KPIs, analysing performance data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee resource planning, capacity management and operational readiness to meet business demand

 

What you need to succeed:

 

  • Demonstrate proven leadership in senior distribution, warehouse or operations management roles, leading managers and large teams within a fast‑paced environment
  • Apply in‑depth knowledge of Distribution Centre operations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP), maintaining strong focus on health, safety, quality and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and embed continuous improvement and change initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, service and customer outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, making confident, well‑informed operational decisions
  • Adopt a data‑driven, resilient and solutions‑focused leadership approach when managing complexity and change
