Position Summary:
The Material Handler / Production Support Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring production operators have the materials needed to meet production requirements. This role monitors and records material movement, maintains inventory accuracy within the production area, and assists in the efficient flow of materials to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production operators have an adequate supply of materials to support manufacturing activities.
- Collect, verify, and maintain records of materials moving to and from production areas.
- Monitor material availability and communicate shortages or issues to the supervisor.
- Support inventory control and accurate material tracking.
- Follow established procedures and work instructions to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 6 months to 2 years of related manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience; OR completion of PBS requirements and successful assessment at the appropriate level.
- Regular and reliable on-site attendance.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic working knowledge of manufacturing, production, or material handling processes.
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Understanding of basic inventory and material flow concepts.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to exercise limited judgment in resolving routine issues.
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision.
- Basic shop floor and production support competencies.
Working Relationships
- Regular interaction with supervisors, team leads, production operators, and peers.
- Occasional interaction with external contractors or vendors.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to handle, reach, and feel objects.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.61
