Position summary
Performs all maintenance functions of production and support equipment in the assigned areas. Work includes routine inspection and repair or replacement of defective or faulty parts on machines and related equipment. All work is to be performed in such a manner as to ensure good workmanship with minimum delay. Additional responsibility for operation, repair, and maintenance of facility utility equipment, including boiler systems, chiller & cooling tower systems, HVAC equipment, air compressors, and other typical plant utility equipment. Required to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of facility & process equipment, and/or buildings & grounds.
Work Schedule: Hours B Night 6pm-6am Thursday-Saturday every other Wednesday
- Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, including on-call hours
Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems
- Repairs the malfunction of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment
- Routinely checks machinery and systems for signs of fault to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions
- Initiates improvement in the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices
- Will become the subject matter expert at higher levels of job
- Documents activities accordingly
Desired skills
- Basic knowledge or exposure to facility systems such as HVAC, boilers, or chillers
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance concepts
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environment
- Exposure to SAP or other CMMS systems for work order management
- Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills
- Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems
- Forklift, scissor lift, or man lift experience (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team

Required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- 1+ years related experience OR PBS requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level

Salary Range: $ 28.33- $36.38/ Hour
