Product Specialist, Robotic Microsurgery
You'll join Aesculap's robotic microsurgery clinical team, supporting the launch of our robotic digital exoscope platform. You'll cultivate surgeon champions by serving as the clinical expert in live product evaluations at key accounts, and once an opportunity closes, you'll lead the post-sale installation. You'll partner closely with your clinical teammates, Capital and Regional Neuro sales, Marketing and Product Management. Together, you'll position the platform against both legacy and newer digital visualization competitors to clinically win high-value accounts and grow our robotic microsurgery business.
Why This Role Matters:
You'll lead the clinical touchpoints at key accounts during a robotic microsurgery launch in neurosurgery, as part of a team that's growing the platform across the country.
How you will make an impact:
- Partner with Capital and Regional Neuro sales as the clinical expert in the field. Lead product positioning and competitive differentiation in live product evaluations to develop surgeon champions who advocate for acquiring the technology.
- Lead product evaluations from start to finish: in-service the OR staff and guide surgeons through the platform in live spine and cranial procedures to clinically win high-value accounts.
- Lead post-sale installations and onboarding, and drive adoption and utilization, including at multi-unit and system-level accounts.
- Work with Product Management and Marketing on training materials and surgeon education, support trade shows, and keep product evaluation reports and vendor credentials current.
What sets you up for success:
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in biomedical engineering or a life science, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of clinical OR experience in medical devices, preferably in spine and cranial surgery.
- Strongly preferred: experience with visualization, navigation, imaging, robotics or other capital equipment, including product launches.
- Comfort leading live product evaluations with surgeons, staying composed when the pressure is on, and building clinical advocacy quickly.
- Willingness to travel 50-75%.
Compensation: $125,000–$140,000 base, plus incentive compensation.
