Position Summary

This role leads a team of Technology Specialists in designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions aligned with the organization’s digital strategy. The position provides technical vision, project leadership, guidance to technical teams, and serves as a primary point of contact for internal partners regarding technology solutions.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and participate in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Analyze requirements to identify technical risks and platform limitations.
  • Support planning, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and management of solutions.
  • Provide clear technical communication to all organizational levels.
  • Assist System Analysts, Network Administrators, and Helpdesk/Deskside Support with escalated issues.

 

Vendor & Partner Management

 

  • Perform technology vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Coordinate activities with service providers, partners, and vendors for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure adherence to system validation plans and support GxP validation requirements.

 

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

 

  • Broad professional and industry knowledge with ability to integrate complex information and lead advanced strategies.
  • Supervisory experience including scheduling, task assignment, performance management, and hiring recommendations.
  • Strong judgment for resolving complex technical and operational problems.
  • Frequent interaction with supervisors, leads, peers, subordinates, and occasional external vendors.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years in management.
  • Relevant industry/professional certifications preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work non‑standard or on‑call hours as needed.

 

Functional Expertise

 

Provide expert configuration and support for SAP FI/CO in ECC6 and S/4HANA, including:

  • Finance: AP, AR, Credit Management, Banking, Business Partners, Dunning, GL/New GL, Asset Accounting/New AA
  • Controlling: Cost Center Planning/Reporting, Product Costing, COPA, Project Systems
  • Ensure seamless FI/CO integration with MM, SD, PP, WM, and Purchasing.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Substitutions and Validations across FI, AA, and CO.

 

Technical & Integration Responsibilities

 

  • Support Sovos Sales & Use Tax integration with ECC6 and S/4HANA.
  • Oversee automated AP solutions, including OCR and SAP interactions.
  • Handle IDoc management, EDI configuration, and SAP Queries.
  • Support SAP Customer Service module and integration with ServiceMax.
  • Work with SAP Fiori including setup, roles, and CDS Views.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Webservices, Data Archiving, SAP GRC, and BRM.
  • Apply basic programming knowledge to collaborate with developers on enhancements.
  • Monitor and maintain SAP security roles, objects, and authorization troubleshooting.

 

Project & Global Collaboration

 

  • Participate in global FI/CO teams for S/4HANA implementations.
  • Drive international harmonization of finance processes.
  • Provide user support and training to ensure effective SAP adoption.
  • Adhere to project plans and timelines as project lead or team member.

 

Salary Range: $150k - $185k
