The Technician  Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow, organization, and availability of materials on the production floor. This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate inventory levels, stocking components, and ensuring production teams have timely access to required materials.

The position requires a working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and OSHA regulations within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Technician operates in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations, ISO standards, Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR), and Medical Device Directives (MDD).

Working under general supervision, this role performs intermediate-level shop floor tasks, applies established procedures, and supports operational efficiency. The Technician may also assist in training and guiding peers while contributing to quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30PM - 11:00PM
  • Assist the supervisor in ensuring production operators have adequate materials to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain materials and components on the production floor.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate records of material flow to and from production areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies promptly.
  • Support adherence to GMP, ISO, OSHA, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma OR G.E.D.
  • 2+ years of related experience OR successful completion of PBS requirements with a passing assessment at the appropriate level.
  • Applicable industry or professional certification, as required.
  • Ability to work a flexible or non-standard schedule as needed.

  • Ability to apply general principles, theories, and concepts to routine tasks.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills with the ability to propose appropriate solutions.

  • Utilizes judgment to resolve routine and moderately complex issues.
  • Applies established procedures and guidelines to determine appropriate actions.
  • Escalates complex or non-routine issues to supervisory personnel.

  • Works under general supervision.
  • May assist in orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing the work of peers when required.

Contacts and Collaboration

  • Regular interaction with supervisors, team leads, and peers.
  • Occasional contact with external contractors and vendors.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Authority and Limitations

Salary: $23.31/ hour

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range provided is a reasonable estimate.
