 Summary:
 
Operates and monitors Extruder machines in a high-performance work team and regulated medical device manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet quality and GMP requirements. Performs basic troubleshooting and equipment adjustments, accurately completes production and quality inspections and documentation, and supports operations to minimize defects, scrap, and downtime while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
 

Shift:

Monday - Friday  6:45am -2:45pm

Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties  

  • Extrudes various tubing, rod, shapes and profiles used in manufacturing finished medical devices.
  • Adjust extrusion line to meet size specifications, resize jobs and operate extrusion machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and effective manner, following cGMP, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and perform tasks such as finished part inspection, material identification and handling data collection while meeting all related requirements for documentation and traceability.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Exercise general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs entry level shop floor competencies.
  • Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Work is typically checked and monitored on a routine basis.
  • May require some limited judgement in resolving problems
  • Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.

 

Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Required:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D
  • 0-0.5 years related experience
  • OR PBS requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level.

Preferred:

  • Associate's or technical degree

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to:

  • Moderate work – Exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs force frequently, and/or 10 lbs force constantly to move objects.

Production/manufacturing environment, Warehouse environment

 

Salary Range: $23.31 / Hour
