Position Overview:

Microsoft Azure

  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources via ARM templates, Azure Portal, CLI, and PowerShell
  • Manage Azure Virtual Machines and storage solutions (Blob, File, Managed Disks)
  • Implement and monitor Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateways, and hybrid connectivity
  • Administer Azure Active Directory (user and group management, role-based access control)
  • Utilize Azure Backup and Site Recovery for business continuity planning
  • Leverage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Automation Runbooks for proactive system management
  • Implement Azure Policy and Microsoft Defender for Cloud to enforce security and compliance
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs using Azure Cost Management

Commvault Backup & Recovery

  • Perform backup and recovery operations for virtual machines, databases, and file systems
  • Manage Commvault Command Center and CommCell Console for infrastructure administration
  • Configure storage policies, retention rules, and backup job scheduling for SLA compliance
  • Integrate Commvault with Azure Blob or AWS S3 for cloud-based backups
  • Troubleshoot failed jobs, media agent performance, deduplication issues, and log errors
  • Deploy, maintain, and upgrade Commvault agents across diverse environments

Infrastructure Operations & System Management

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise IT systems with high availability and performance
  • Lead or support all stages of the system lifecycle: planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Establish technical vision and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and product focal point for infrastructure platforms
  • Analyze system requirements, complete cost-benefit analysis, and provide technical recommendations
  • Review, plan, and implement new systems or system improvements to enhance the computing environment
  • Perform system troubleshooting and root cause analysis with clear documentation of resolutions
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, SOPs, validation plans, and project reports
  • Interact with global and regional IT colleagues to align solutions with strategic IT goals

Collaboration, Leadership & Support

  • Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define requirements and resolve issues
  • Coordinate and contribute to regional and global IT projects and operational initiatives
  • Track and report project status, identifying issues for escalation or resolution
  • Provide escalated support to users and resolve complex infrastructure-related issues
  • Monitor operational system alerts and alarms; respond to incidents and coordinate follow-up
  • Liaise with service providers, vendors, and partners for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in evaluation and standardization of new technologies at both regional and global levels
  • Mentor or assist Systems Analysts, Network Administrators, Helpdesk, and Desk-side Support teams
  • Ensure systems meet GxP validation requirements in regulated environments

Job Function - General:

  • Apply technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring, or maintenance of IT systems.
  • Involvement in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and management of technology solutions.
  • Establish a technical vision for complex, enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Interact with IT colleagues and Business stakeholders in problem solving, defining requirements, capacity, and implementing robust, scalable, effective and efficient technology solutions for solving business problems.
  • Provide product focal point and subject matter technical expertise.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Interact with local and global colleagues to ensure solutions follow strategic path goals and objectives.
  • Perform system analysis which includes completing requirement definitions, interfacing with business groups and provide cost and benefit analysis.
  • Review, plan, and implement computer systems. Troubleshoot systems and recommend improvements to the computing environment.
  • Provide documentation and project tracking. Serves as a project leader on assigned projects.
  • Participate in new technology evaluations related to information. Identify alternative or new technologies and assist in defining new global and regional IT standards.
  • Assist Systems Analysts, Network Administrators and the helpdesk, desk-side support group with technical support issues.
  • Coordinate and participate in regional and global project and operational efforts.
  • Define and revise SOPs and system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company’s GXP validation requirements.
  • Prepare project status reports to inform management to project progression. Identify any issues, which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
  • Provide escalated user support.
  • Monitor system alerts and alarms generated from operational monitoring systems.
  • Monitor activities of and coordinates activities with service providers, partners and vendors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting

Education and Professional Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

08-10 years related experience required.

Certification:

Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles, theories, concept. Determines best course of action.

Supervision Given and Received:

Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of other peers.

$105,000 to $140,000

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
