Position Summary:
Join B. Braun, a global leader in healthcare, and play a key role in developing and optimizing the manufacturing processes behind life-saving medical products. We are seeking an Extrusion Process Engineer with a passion for plastics, extrusion technology, and continuous improvement to support innovative projects and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Troubleshoot and optimize extrusion manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) and Engineering Test Requests (ETRs).
- Lead and support process improvement, validation, and new product development projects.
- Perform product and process validations on extrusion lines and injection molding equipment.
- Analyze manufacturing data and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external vendors to implement engineering solutions.
- Support equipment, tooling, and mold design activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and engineering reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and drive results with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel domestically, with occasional international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Plastics or Polymer Engineering.
- Experience with plastic part design, extrusion, and injection molding processes.
- Knowledge of mold design and mold shop manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with tooling vendors and external suppliers.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD/CAM software.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $86,600
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
