At Aesculap AG, as part of the B. Braun Group, we are looking for a motivated and committed student (m/f/d) for the summer semester 2026 in the Group Digital Department to complete their thesis (Bachelor's or Master's) in the Product Security Office.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work on a topic that contributes to patient health
- Conduct a detailed analysis of existing standards and concepts
- Develop a reusable security concept for medical devices as the main topic of your thesis
- Systematically select the most promising solution approach
- Implement the concept on actual reference hardware
Competences:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in (technical) computer science, electrical engineering or cyber security
- Interest and experience in embedded systems
- Interest and experience in cyber security and applied cryptography
- Knowledge on embedded operating systems, especially Linux and/or Zephyr
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, with a level of B2 or higher. Ideally, you also have proficiency in speaking German
- Good knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. C/C++, Go, Python, Bash) for the purpose of supporting integration efforts and developing solutions
