For the Aesculap division at our Tuttlingen location, we are looking for a Business Development Manager (f/m/d) for Robotic Surgery within our Global Marketing department.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • You analyse market potential, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to define and drive an effective go to market strategy, working closely with local sales teams to implement the strategy and achieve sales targets
  • You identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with international key opinion leaders to support strategic market development and long-term business success
  • You provide operational support to assigned regions and actively drive long-term strategic business development in alignment with overall company objectives
  • As a Business Development Manager (f/m/d) you play a key role in shaping and expanding the Robotic Surgery business by contributing to the development of scalable sales structures, processes, and market approaches
  • You develop and execute sales and marketing activities in close coordination with local teams and central project teams, ensuring consistent messaging, strong market impact, and successful market level implementation of global product launches
  • You plan and conduct customer visits in key markets and at B. Braun/Aesculap locations, act as booth manager for international congresses, and support local trade fairs and congress activities to ensure strong market presence
  • You deliver product and indication specific sales expertise within the assigned countries and regions, supporting local teams through structured knowledge transfer
  • You provide professional instruction in Robotic Surgery and support local business planning by offering strategic guidance across relevant clinical and commercial topics
  • The conduction of OR support, training sessions, workshops, roadshows, and other educational events to support customer engagement and product adoption is also part of your area of responsibility
  • You serve as a central liaison between global and local teams, ensuring effective cross functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, Aesculap Academy, Finance, Controlling, Legal, and Compliance

 

Professional Competencies:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, ideally complemented by a master’s degree in business administration (DH/FH or university) or an equivalent qualification
  • You bring several years of experience in selling high-end capital equipment, preferably within the medical technology sector, with experience in robotic surgery, surgical microscopes, or exoscopes being a strong advantage
  • You have proven sales experience and ideally gained international business exposure in a global or cross regional environment
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills and are confident in managing complex topics, advanced medical technologies, and diverse sales approaches
  • You combine strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach
  • You have an excellent command of both German and English, written and spoken
  • You are proficient in standard business software applications
  • You are willing to travel nationally and internationally, approximately 40–60 days per year
