As the Manager, Credit and Collections, you will oversee credit risk assessment, credit granting, and collections activities primarily in healthcare services. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in managing accounts receivable, minimizing bad debt exposure, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Risk Assessment — Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, credit checks, and risk assessment tools; establish credit limits and terms aligned with company policies.
- Policy Development — Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and controls; monitor adherence and recommend updates to mitigate risk.
- Team Leadership — Provide training and guidance to staff on credit management best practices; foster a collaborative and results‑oriented culture.
- Collections Oversight — Oversee collections activities; monitor accounts receivable aging; implement strategies to minimize delinquency and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Customer Engagement — Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments; serve as the primary contact for escalated inquiries and disputes.
- Reporting & Analysis — Prepare and analyze reports on performance, including aging analysis, DSO, and bad debt reserves; identify trends and recommend optimization strategies.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work with Finance, Sales, and Operations to resolve receivable issues and support strategic planning.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in credit and collections management, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including interpreting financial statements and assessing creditworthiness.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Experience with collections software and SAP ERP; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
