As a Head of Finance Operations at B. Braun, you will serve as the strategic and operational partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to drive financial operations excellence, transformation, and execution discipline across the organization. You will ensure that finance functions operate with efficiency, scalability, compliance, and strong governance while enabling data-driven decision-making and business performance.
You will also be responsible for leading and transforming the organization’s end-to-end finance operations with strong leadership accountability for Accounts Payables, Billing and Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting and Credit Management, while also overseeing operational financial controls, and finance process excellence and governance to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-centric finance operations aligned with healthcare and medical device industry standards.
Your Key Accountabilities
Finance Operations Leadership
- Lead and optimize core finance operations, including Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Treasury Operations
- Drive service delivery excellence, standardization, and cost efficiency across finance functions
- Oversee shared services or global business services (GBS), where applicable
- Lead and develop high-performing finance operations teams
Strategic Execution Partner to the CFO
- Translate CFO priorities into executable operational plans and transformation roadmaps
- Act as deputy to the CFO on operational matters, governance forums, and cross-functional initiatives
- Support financial planning cycles, ensuring operational readiness and execution discipline
Process Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive finance transformation initiatives (automation, digitalization, ERP optimization, AI-enabled analytics)
- Lead process reengineering to improve cycle times, accuracy, and internal controls
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies)
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with regulatory requirements, and audit readiness
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit functions to strengthen governance frameworks
- Monitor financial operations risks and implement mitigating strategies
Data, Reporting & Insights Enablement
- Oversee financial data integrity, reporting processes, and management dashboards
- Enable real-time, data-driven insights to support business decisions
- Collaborate with FP&A and business leaders to improve performance visibility
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with business units, IT, HR, procurement, and other functions to align financial operations with business needs
- Manage relationships with external partners (e.g., outsourced service providers, auditors, regulators)
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience with at least 5 years in a senior Finance Operations leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, Revenue Cycle Management, Billing & Invoicing, and Working Capital Management is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, or Leadership is an advantage.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Shared Services, or Finance Operations teams in multinational organizations.
- Experience within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or similarly regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, revenue recognition, taxation, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Experience in ERP systems, finance automation, shared services transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, leadership, and business partnering capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in fast-paced and transformation-oriented environments.
- Strong executive presence and strategic leadership capability.
