As a Clinical Training Officer at B. Braun you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical training programs for dialysis nurses and healthcare staff. This role ensures that all clinical personnel are competent, compliance and align with the dialysis policy and procedures, patient care, infection control, and emergency response. You'll work closely with Head Nurses, nephrologists, Aesculap Academy and Clinical teams to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

 

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement a comprehensive clinical training program for dialysis nurses, including onboarding, hands-on training, continuing education, and competency-based learning.
  • Develop and regularly update training materials such as manuals, SOPs, and modules to align with local and international dialysis care standards.
  • Utilize diverse training methods including lectures, demonstrations, case-based learning, and simulations to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Assess nurse competencies through direct observation, exams, and scenario-based evaluations to ensure clinical proficiency.
  • Identify skill gaps and create personalized learning plans to support nurses needing additional development.
  • Conduct emergency response simulations to prepare nurses for critical dialysis-related situations like hypotension or cardiac arrest.
  • Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to improve clinical decision-making and patient care quality.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international healthcare standards, staying updated with DOH, PNA, KDIGO, ISO, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including nephrologists, clinical teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective training delivery and compliance.
  • Maintain detailed training records and reports, evaluate program effectiveness, and continuously update content based on the latest evidence-based practices.

 

 What you'll bring to the team: 

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active PRC license (Professional Regulation Commission – Philippines).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) (Master’s in Nursing or Education is a plus).
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience as a dialysis nurse, with at least 2 years in training, mentoring, or supervisory roles.
  • Strong background in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures, equipment handling, and patient care management.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training facilitation.
  • Expertise in dialysis principles, fluid management, electrolyte balance, and infection control.
  • Proficiency in dialysis machines and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols for dialysis-related complications.
