Your Opportunity
We are seeking a commercial, results-oriented Business Development Manager to accelerate market penetration and build sustainable partnerships across the pharmacy and aged care sectors within our Avitum division.
Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing – Ambulatory Care, in this key role, you will blend commercial strategy with hands-on sales execution. You will map and prioritise high-value opportunities, champion product introductions, and expand our footprint across pharmacy banners, residential aged care providers, and home care operators.
Your Responsibilities
In this role you will-
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share.
- Map, prioritise, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, procurement managers, pharmacists, and C-Suite decision-makers.
- Lead strategic joint business planning and account reviews to drive product introductions and category expansion.
- Support and facilitate engagement and relationship management with Avitum key distributors.
- Partner with the Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams to launch campaigns, education programs, and ensure seamless delivery.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity while utilizing Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate data and pipeline tracking.
About You
To be successful in this role, your background will include:
- A strong track record in business development or sales within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
- A deep understanding of the pharmacy and/or aged care landscape in Australia.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proven ability to influence senior commercial and clinical decision-makers.
- The ability to analyse data, identify emerging trends, and translate insights into proactive sales pipelines.
- A self-driven, resilient, and strategic thinker who is comfortable working autonomously to achieve goals.
Additional requirement :
To be eligible to apply, you must have full working rights in Australia/NZ, a valid Driver’s Licence, the ability to travel nationally and internationally as required and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
