Job Summary:

Responsible for the mechanical design and development of active medical devices. Collaborate closely with global R&D teams to support  product development, product localization, technology evaluation and continuous product improvement, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, manufacturability and business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with global R&D teams on component selection, technical feasibility studies, technical verification and engineering problem solving to support global product development activities.
• Responsible for mechanical design activities of active medical devices, including product improvement, design modification, cost optimization, design verification and support for product development projects. 
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, verification reports and engineering change documents. Support project activities and complete assigned tasks.
• Work closely with cross functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance. Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, attend conferences, and participate in training. Seek opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.

Education and Qualifications:

• Major in mechanical design engineering, Master degree or above
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical R&D or product development, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles with strong capability in mechanism design and product development.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (CATIA preferred) and engineering drawing preparation.
• Familiar with machining, injection molding, sheet metal and common manufacturing processes, as well as medical materials and their applications.
• Knowledge of medical device development processes and relevant industry standards is preferred.
• Experience in infusion pumps, syringe pumps or other electro-mechanical medical devices is highly preferred.
• Good written skill of English with fluent oral English speaking in professional terminology
