Your Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑focused Operational Support Administrator (12 month FTC) to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution office by managing export consignments, coordinating logistics, completing and issuing customer orders documentation, and much more!

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and enjoys providing administrative support to ensure efficient and effective distribution operations.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, on-site, Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm.

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Transport booking for all Customer Orders including export consignments.
  • Using SAP transactions to confirm invoicing is completed.
  • Authorise and control transport bookings for exceptions and upgrades.
  • Completion and issue of all customer orders documentation including pre advise, labels and delivery notes.
  • Booking in deliveries with customers.
  • Control the pick run process and the distribution of customer orders to the Operational team.
  • Oversee the distribution of emails received into both the central Distribution Centre and the Homecare inboxes.
  • Provide cover for the wider Operational Support team when required
  • Support other areas of the Distribution Centre when needed
  • Record and escalate any product quality concerns or customer issues on the same day

  • Understanding of general warehouse processes and health & safety
  • Confident handling telephone queries
  • Strong organisational skills with a methodical and accurate approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Customer‑focused, reliable, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
