Position Summary:
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Provides customer service and support for electronic equipment.
- Use manufacturers' service manuals and documentation to provide initial troubleshooting and/or repairs.
- Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
- Test and calibrate components and equipment following manufacturer’s manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Maintain customer good will through: effective communication of all services rendered; effective communication of service and operator issues; effective presentation of positive attitude for the company, products, employee, and customers; and maintaining a proper business appearance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance or services performed.
- Maintains Inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
- Stay up to date on the latest products and repair techniques.
- Provides guidance and assistance on repair activities, procedures, etc. to team members
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Performs other duties as required
- Fully bilingual in English and French required

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc
Required:
- Associate's or technical degree required. Completion of a College diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent program.
- CET or BMET Certified, preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 0-02 years related experience required.
- Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- Up to 25% business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed
Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years progressively difficult electro-mechanical assembly experience or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
- Solder to ANSI/IPC-610 class III specifications and current standards is strongly preferred.
- Certification in IPC 7711/21 is an asset
- Thorough knowledge of ESD practices
Base Pay: $70k-$80K CAD
