Job purpose
Support the Renal Care and Technical Services business across Sri Lanka by providing installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, user training, and clinical application support for Hemodialysis (HD), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and related water treatment systems. The position directly impacts on customer satisfaction, equipment uptime, contract retention, patient safety, revenue generation through service contracts
Duties and responsibilities
Functional : (responsibilities in relation to deliver/discharge of the primary duties as the holder of this position)
- Installs new equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and testing performance.
- Maintains medical devices by completing preventive maintenance schedules; conducting tests; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions; calling for special service; evaluating service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories.
- Directs medical devices operation by providing equipment operation demonstrations; instructing other healthcare staff in use and care of equipment; answering questions; providing information.
- Maintains medical devices inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests; recommending and complying with procedures; training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel; complying with B. Braun codes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities locally and regionally; reading technical publications;
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
- Incase of emergency required to attend and satisfy the customers for the smooth functioning of operations to fulfill the customer’s requirement
- Receiving, documentation and prompt forwarding of quality complaints to RA department
People Management : (responsibilities in relation to the supervision and development of staff reporting to the job holder)

Qualifications
(Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job)
Education / Experience / Professional knowledge:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in medical equipment servicing, installation, and maintenance. Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications in biomedical equipment maintenance or dialysis systems will be an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience working with dialysis equipment, critical care devices, ICU equipment, or similar medical technologies.
- Strong customer-facing experience delivering technical support in healthcare settings.
- Ability to conduct user training, application support, and technical documentation.
