Job Purpose: 

Contributes to the company’s strategic objectives by continuously designing, updating, and expanding sales training programs to proactively prepare the sales representatives, agents of the organization, and internal personnel to succeed in an ever-changing healthcare environment. Applies fundamental sales knowledge coupled with effective training technique to design and execute training programs that will result in more effective and efficient customer facing employees.  The trainer will work collaboratively with internal sales management, clinical, marketing, legal and regulatory personnel, and applicable external marketing partners, consultants and training vendors, to design meaningful learning solutions for B. Braun Medical’s customer facing teams.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position will support the IV Systems Portfolio.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive training for assigned products, services and skills focused on the learning needs of the targeted audience.
  • Leverage understanding of the learners’ needs, perspective and capability in creating high quality trainings with the agility to adapt to a rapidly changing competitive environment.
  • Apply instructional design in creating training materials and programs.
  • Understand effective adult learning principles.
  • Develop and direct the execution of pre-launch, launch and post-launch training programs for new products.
  • Develop and direct the delivery of training assessments to measure field force competency and to measure effectiveness of training activities for ROI analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with training peers and all applicable B. Braun Medical personnel, external partner company personnel, and external consultants and training vendors.
  • Deliver new hire and advanced product training and selling skills development.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of periodic field force communications to facilitate continuous remote learning (newsletters, learning modules, E-learning programs, videos, pod casts, webinars, etc.).
  • Work closely with marketing as it relates to new products, updates to the field, development of self-study learning modules, etc.; and serve as a liaison between sales and marketing.
  • Work at least once a quarter in the field with sales representatives to enhance product, market and competitive knowledge.
  • Regularly assess and suggest modifications to improve learning deliverables.
  • Identify customer training needs, to include in-services, and coordinate training solutions.
  • Oversee activities of assigned Field Trainers.

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 – 6 years of related experience, to include 5 or more years of successful training/education experience in the Sales Training & Clinical Education department of B. Braun Medical, or comparable experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical device organization.

 

Preferred:

  • Applicable industry/professional certification
  • Medical device training experience
  • Sales experience in healthcare
  • Field Trainer experience

 

Knowledge:

  • Adult learning principles
  • Training methodologies
  • Healthcare

 

Salary Range - $89,000 - $115,000

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
