Job objective:
Material Compliance management activities within Product Lifecycle Management – Hospital Care (HC).
Responsibilities:
- Review and assess compliance status of purchased materials and components on basis of supplier data provided via declaration letters, certificates etc:
- Check, if documents provided by suppliers fulfill the requirements to comply to a defined regulation (MDR, REACH/WFD, RoHS, etc.), align with SME in case of unclear situations;
- Check, if chemicals of concern are mentioned / addressed;
- Check, if supplier’s answers are logical / correct, i.e. polycarbonate contains BPA, silver coatings have antimicrobial qualities etc;
- Follow predetermined guidelines set by Program Team and regulations.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain missing information;
- Maintain base knowledge of all Program regulations;
- Keep Material Compliance Manager and further involved stakeholders informed of all compliance-related issues, as appropriate;
- Assure lessons-learned procedures;
- Safeguarding/Adherence of Compliance Regulation “Code of Conduct“.
Your profile:
- Bachelor / Master degree: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering;
- Previous experience:
- Professional experience in the management of material compliance regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS, MDR, etc.) as well as experience in IT applications is an advantage;
- Medical devices related knowledge is an advantage;
- Successfully completed scientific or technical studies, preferably in material science / polymer science / chemistry or related disciplines;
- Knowledge of using tools for electronic processes / communication procedures in a multinational organization;
- Very good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is desirable;
- Good PC Knowledge (MS Office, Adobe Professional, Outlook) - independent user;
