DevOps Engineer

From Barcelona, you will join Germany-based Corporate Start-Up B. Braun New Ventures, which is taking a leading role in the digital transformation of healthcare. With a young and fast-growing team, we develop solutions to automate medical procedures across various business areas. From our Barcelona location, you will be integrated into an international team that collaborates to achieve these goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the DevOps team, responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly
  • Ensure critical system security through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including developers, system engineers, and product owners to ensure our infrastructure meets business goals and user needs
  • Employ a continuous improvement mindset, enhancing system reliability and performance
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers

 

Professional competencies:

  • Seasoned DevOps engineer with several years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience in using scripting languages (like Python or Bash), configuration management tools (like Ansible or Puppet) and cloud services (like Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Deep understanding of modern CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
  • Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an asset
  • Knowledge of network architecture, protocols, firewall configuration would be desirable
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or any comparable field would be beneficial

  • Self-motivated with a hands-on mentality

  • Communicate clearly and responsibly in English. Experience with Spanish and German would be a plus
