Repair Technician- Surgical Instruments

The Opportunity

 

We are looking for a Repair Technician to join our growing Aesculap Technical Services (ATS) team to service and maintain surgical instruments.  Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will assess, repair and refurbish our range of general surgical instruments, as well as Neuro and Laparoscopic instruments for our customers.

 

You’ll be using bench grinders, lathes, vices, polishing machines and bench drills to repair scissors, bone punchers, forceps and chisels in our workshop.

 

The Responsibilities

 

  • Assess, repair and refurbish general surgical, Neuro and Laparoscopic metal instruments in accordance with Aesculap standards

  • Repair Aesculap sterilisation containers

  • Document all spare parts used for repairs

  • Perform laser marking as required, according to customer specifications and ATS requirements

  • Assisting with special projects and ATS specific tasks when required

 

The Requirements

 

  • Several years’ experience repairing metal surgical products or other precise metal products

  • Formal technical tool making qualifications

  • Flexible, team-oriented approach

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • High attention to detail

 

Additional requirement :
