Position Summary

The Production Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing of medical devices by operating production equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations in a regulated environment. This position is responsible for performing assembly, equipment operation, troubleshooting, inspection, and documentation activities to ensure products are manufactured safely and in compliance with established quality standards, production schedules, and regulatory requirements. The Production Technician works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain production efficiency, minimize waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is an onsite position within a manufacturing environment. 

 

In This Role, You Will Have the Chance To:

  • Operate production equipment and manufacturing systems in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and production schedules.

  • Manufacture products to defined specifications while achieving quality, productivity, scrap, and efficiency targets.

  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and identify, document, and escalate non-conforming materials or products.

  • Perform routine equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor corrective actions to minimize downtime and reduce production interruptions.

  • Accurately complete production records, batch documentation, equipment logs, and other required manufacturing documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Support line clearance, startup, changeover, and shutdown activities to ensure efficient production operations.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process-related issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed and assist with training or onboarding activities.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, productivity, and waste reduction.

 

Essential Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 6 months to 2 years of manufacturing, production, technical operations, or related experience; or successful completion of PBS requirements and assessment at the appropriate level.

  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation and maintain detailed records.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience entering or reviewing production-related data.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

  • Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, weekends, or non-standard schedules as business needs require.

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance.

 

Preferred Experience Includes

  • Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S methodologies.

  • Experience with troubleshooting production processes and manufacturing equipment.

  • Knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, or regulated manufacturing practices.

  • Experience supporting equipment setup, changeovers, and process optimization activities.

  • Follows established procedures and guidelines while demonstrating sound judgment in resolving routine operational issues.

Hourly Pay- $23.31 + 10% shift differential

 

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
