Your key responsibilities:
- Directs and controls warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing material goods (raw materials, finished products, tool and packaging materials).
- Plans and schedules the inventory to meet the organisation's needs by overseeing the ordering of products and assists in coordinating delivery schedules with shippers and customers. This includes ensures that incoming material is inspected for conformity with order specifications and checked for defects.
- Develops and conducts continuous improvement in warehouse operations for better efficiency, service level, and driving cost down.
- Provides leadership, support and guidance to the warehouse operations team – Manages the warehouse staff activities to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Monitors staff to ensure that all machines and equipment are operated in a safe manner.
- Manages 3PL, external warehouse and logistics functions to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency aligning with business requirement; prepares budget and operates within approved budget.
- Implements and enforces policies and standard operating procedure; Attends to internal and external audit findings and implements corrective measures.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain with minimum 10 years in the logistics industry for business with manufacturing and export operations.
- Experience in managing warehouse operations (inbound, outbound & inventory) and in-plant logistics operations; and internal & external audits.
- Experience in analysing operational efficiency metrics to identify bottlenecks, refine processes and ensure a consistent high-quality service.
- Performance analysis of service providers through KPI reporting Tools and Exception Reporting and managing service providers' performance.
- Having freight management, import/ export logistics network, Capex Management (financial and spend management, investments in warehouse and logistics) is a plus.
