Position Summary
The Clinical Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all clinical aspects of the Avitum division business. The role ensures excellence in patient care, clinical quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical outcomes across the Avitum division portfolio.
The position acts as the bridge between clinical excellence and business growth, ensuring sustainable expansion while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical governance.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Clinical Governance and Quality Management
- Lead and oversee clinical governance frameworks across all renal care facilities.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with local healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and company clinical policies.
- Monitor quality indicators and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans to address quality gaps.
- Clinical outcomes management - define and monitor key clinical outcome metrics including but not limited to:
- Dialysis adequacy (Kt/V)
- Vascular access outcomes
- Hospitalization rates
- Infection rates
- Anemia management
- Mortality and morbidity indicators
- Patient satisfaction and experience measures
- Benchmark clinical outcomes against national and international best practices.
- Drive programs to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of care.
2. Regional Clinical Program and Sales Excellence
- Lead clinical engagement and support sales activities
- Partner with commercial teams during customer presentations, tenders, and contract negotiations.
- Develop clinical value-based selling strategies highlighting patient outcomes, safety, and economic benefits.
- Engage with clinicians, hospitals, healthcare providers, and healthcare authorities to strengthen referral networks.
- Act as a clinical ambassador for the organization at conferences, professional forums, and industry events.
- Provide clinical education and training to customers and internal commercial teams.
- Develop and oversee clinical competency programs for nursing and allied healthcare personnel.
- Lead clinical education initiatives across the organization.
- Mentor and coach clinical managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide clinical input into operational, financial, and expansion decisions.
- Identify opportunities for service innovation, operational improvement, and business growth.
3. Medical and Professional Engagement
- Establish strong collaborative relationships with nephrologists, intensivists and other relevant key opinion leaders.
- Serve as the clinical liaison with healthcare authorities, regulatory bodies, and professional societies.
- Facilitate physician engagement and support medical advisory activities.
- Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and evidence-based practices.

What you will bring to the team:
- Medical Doctor (MD/MBBS), specialization in Nephrology an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate role, regional experience an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated experience in:

- Experience in acute dialysis and critical care settings is highly desirable.
