Backoffice Support Procurement Spec

The Procurement Support Specialist will provide essential administrative and back-office support to commodity experts, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the procurement team. This role will involve managing documentation, coordinating meetings, and assisting with various tasks to enable commodity experts to focus on strategic initiatives.

 

Duties and responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to commodity experts, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and databases related to procurement activities and supplier information.
• Coordinate communication between commodity experts and internal/external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of procurement processes and initiatives.
• Assist in tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities.
• Help manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks.

 

Professional competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in procurement or supply chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
• IT affinity and familiarity with Ariba is a plus.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English (at least B2)

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
