We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) professional to lead and manage the full spectrum of rewards, benefits, payroll governance, and statutory compliance for our India operations. This role is responsible for designing competitive compensation structures, driving Total Rewards strategy, managing compliance with Labour Codes, and ensuring a consistent, fair, and scalable rewards framework that supports talent attraction, retention, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Lead the C&B portfolio for India across plants, sales, and corporate functions.
  • Drive Total Rewards Strategy, job mapping, job grading, salary structure design, and benchmarking exercises.
  • Manage annual merit planning, variable pay cycles, budgeting, salary fitments, and compensation analytics.
  • Design and administer employee benefits, insurance programs, wellness initiatives, and Reward & Recognition.
  • Ensure accuracy and governance across compensation policies, offer guidelines, and performance‑linked outcomes.
  • Partner with HRBP and Talent Acquisition to support manpower planning and competitive hiring decisions.

Manpower Planning

  • Drive manpower cost efficiency through workforce utilisation insights, headcount planning, and FTE governance.

Statutory Compliance 

  • Act as the SPOC for all statutory HR compliances across locations.
  • Lead the implementation of all Labour Codes – Wage Code, Social Security Code, OSH Code, and IR Code.
  • Align compensation structures with statutory definitions of wages, PF/ESIC guidelines, bonus rules, gratuity norms, and working‑condition requirements.
  • Govern multi‑state compliance, HRMS statutory configuration, SOP creation, and internal/external audits.
  • Drive communication, training, and change management for Labour Code.

Payroll Governance

  • Oversee payroll accuracy, statutory deductions, audit readiness, MIS reporting, F&F settlements, and compliance documentation.

HRIS & Vendor Management

  • Manage key C&B and HR vendors including payroll, insurance, tax consultants, actuarial partners, and HRIS project stakeholders.

Expatriate Management

  • Manage incoming and outgoing expatriate processes including visas, tax working, relocation, gross‑up calculations, and coordination with external partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM in HR 
  • 8–12 years of experience in C&B, payroll governance, HR compliance, and rewards management preferable in FMCG, Pharma, Life Sciences, or Manufacturing industry
  • Additional certifications in Rewards, Compensation Management, HR Analytics, or Labour Law are an advantage
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian Labour Codes, statutory frameworks, job evaluation, salary structures, and HR analytics.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leadership, manage vendors, and drive data‑based decision‑making.
