We are looking for a highly motivated Working Student to support our development activities in the field of AI-driven robotics, industrial automation, and equipment integration. In this role, you will work on innovative solutions combining humanoid robotics, Vision-Language-Action models, computer vision, middleware, and industrial communication interfaces to connect machines, robots, process control systems, and dashboards. You will be part of a technical team working at the interface between software development, automation technology, robotics, and data-driven manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test middleware solutions for connecting production equipment, robotics platforms, process control systems, and dashboards.
  • Create communication interfaces between software applications and industrial systems using technologies such as OPC UA, REST APIs, MQTT, PLC interfaces, and Siemens automation systems.
  • Support the networking and integration of injection molding machines with process control systems, dashboards, and data platforms.
  • Create solutions to connect legacy equipment to middleware solutions by using available legacy protocols (e. g. serial communication)
  • Support the development and implementation of motion sequences and control logic for humanoid robotic systems and industrial manipulators.
  • Assist in the integration, optimization, and testing of AI models, including LLMs, Vision-Language-Action models, and computer vision pipelines for robotic applications. Contribute to prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of AI-driven automation and equipment integration solutions.
  • Process, analyze, and visualize machine and process data to support monitoring, dashboards, and decision-making.

Your Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one or more of the following: Python, C#, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
