Drive the Transformation of Product Lifecycle Management

The Corporate PLM Office and the Center of Competence (CoC) PLM drive the harmonization and digitalization of product-related information, processes, and applications across the B. Braun Group.

To strengthen our international team, we are looking for an experienced Senior PLM Consultant (m/f/d). In this role, you will support business units and Centers of Expertise (CoEs) in adopting the corporate PLM platform and transforming their ways of working. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping organizations optimize product lifecycle processes, establish new digital capabilities, and successfully implement standardized PLM methodologies.

As a key interface between business stakeholders, engineering functions, and technical implementation teams, you will focus on consulting, enablement, change management, and business adoption rather than technical system implementation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise business units, Centers of Expertise and functional departments on the adoption and effective use of the corporate PLM platform.
  • Analyze existing product development processes and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Support transformation and rollout initiatives throughout the adoption lifecycle.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Facilitate the definition and implementation of future PLM ways of working.
  • Act as a central interface between business stakeholders and expert teams.
  • Coordinate and channel business requirements into the appropriate workstreams.
  • Support change management and adoption activities.
  • Promote company-wide harmonization of PLM processes and governance.
  • Ensure successful business adoption of PLM solutions.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for business-related PLM topics.
  • Ensure compliance with PLM standards and governance frameworks.
  • Support rollout planning and risk management activities.
  • Contribute to the development of the corporate PLM strategy and Target Operating Model.
  • Drive innovation in PLM, MBSE, Digital Engineering and data-driven ways of working.

 

Professional Competencies:

  • Successfully completed studies in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience as a Consultant, Business Analyst, Process Consultant, PLM Specialist, or in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, methodologies, and processes.
  • Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
    • Systems Engineering
    • Product Development
    • Product Data Management (PDM)
    • Quality Management
    • Regulatory Affairs
    • Engineering Processes
  • Experience with PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Polarion, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, PTC Windchill, or comparable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end processes across the product lifecycle.
  • Experience in transformation, rollout, organizational change, or business adoption projects.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries, particularly Medical Technology, Pharmaceuticals, or Life Sciences, is considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of data-driven product development and digital engineering concepts is beneficial.
