Within B. Braun Melsungen AG, we are looking for a Project Manager (f/m/d) Pre‑Development for the Center of Excellence Infusion & Pain Therapy (CoE IPT) within the Hospital Care division at the Melsungen site.
As a Project Manager Pre‑Development (f/m/d), you will take responsibility for forward‑looking pre‑development projects and actively drive the optimization and development of new medical devices for innovative therapy solutions. In this role, you will work at the intersection of engineering, business, and scientific topics, shaping new approaches for the infusion and pain therapy of tomorrow together with a young, interdisciplinary team.
Pre‑Development @ CoE IPT means becoming part of a dedicated team of highly qualified specialists from various scientific disciplines. Together, you will further develop innovative product and application ideas – from the initial concept phase to the handover into advanced development and implementation. A deep understanding of therapies and customer needs, entrepreneurial thinking, and a solution‑oriented perspective on complex challenges characterize our daily work.
Responsibilities
- Managing cross‑functional projects with diverse interfaces
- Responsibility for project and resource planning as well as monitoring progress, quality, and goal achievement within the project team
- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring one or more internal teams in a multi‑project environment
- Efficient and cost‑conscious use of required resources
- Target‑group‑oriented reporting on project status to direct supervisors, sponsors, clients, and relevant steering committees such as the Project Management Board and Project Steering
- Contributing to the further development and optimization of ideas, products, materials, formulations, and processes
- Supporting the analysis and resolution of technical challenges and developing suitable technical solution approaches
- Contributing to the development, evaluation, and prioritization of new ideas and innovations in line with the division strategy
Professional Competencies
- Successfully completed degree – ideally in medical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or a comparable scientific‑technical field
- At least three years of professional experience in project management and confidence working in complex development environments
- Ideally, knowledge in medical technology as well as in regional anesthesia or related therapy fields
- Preferably experience with agile project management and familiarity with methods such as Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid project approaches
- Proficient in MS Office and confident communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
