In this strategic role, you will define, model, and govern the enterprise architecture foundations of our product lifecycle ecosystem. You will establish and evolve a semantic architecture landscape that connects products, information, processes, organizational structures, systems, and regulatory requirements across the entire product lifecycle.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and platform teams, you will help create the architectural framework required to enable Digital Thread, Digital Twin, Model-Based Engineering, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management architecture model based on the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Model and govern taxonomies, ontologies, and architecture elements across business, information, application, and technology domains.
  • Design and further develop the semantic architecture landscape supporting product information creation, management, and reuse.
  • Define architecture principles, modeling standards, governance processes, and best practices.
  • Analyze and model complex relationships between products, product information, business processes, organizational structures, and IT systems.
  • Collaborate closely with PLM, Enterprise Architecture, Information Management, and other Center of Competence teams to ensure architectural consistency.
  • Support strategic transformation initiatives through architecture consulting, impact assessments, and solution design activities.
  • Ensure traceability between business, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements within architecture models.
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise architecture capabilities supporting Digital Thread, Digital Twin, Systems Engineering, and Model-Based Engineering.
  • Promote standardization, reuse, and scalability of architecture assets across the global organization.
  • Support the development and maintenance of long-term architecture roadmaps for the Corporate PLM Office.
  • Own the quality, consistency, and governance of the PLM enterprise architecture landscape.
  • Ensure harmonized definitions of business objects, information entities, relationships, and architecture elements across all PLM domains.
  • Maintain and evolve semantic architecture models as a foundation for integrations, automation, analytics, and digital capabilities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for architecture-related decisions, methodologies, and modeling approaches.
  • Support strategic planning and architecture governance activities across the PLM ecosystem.
  • Ensure the reusability, maintainability, and scalability of architectural artifacts for global programs and future platform development.
  • Drive architecture alignment across business, information, application, and technology perspectives.

Professional Competencies:

  • Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience in Enterprise Architecture, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Knowledge of architecture and modeling standards such as SysML, UML, ArchiMate, or comparable frameworks is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product data structures, product development processes, and Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience in designing and modeling complex enterprise, information, application, and technology architectures.
  • Knowledge of semantic modeling approaches, ontologies, taxonomies, or information-centric architecture methodologies is considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of Digital Thread, Digital Twin, and systems engineering concepts is beneficial.
  • Experience within regulated industries such as Medical Technology, Pharmaceuticals, or Life Sciences is desirable.

Personal Competencies:
