About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support our offices and manufacturing facilities in developing, implementing, and continuously improving standardized Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategies and programs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving safety culture, and elevating EHS performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Environment, Health & Safety Management
- Support company offices and factories in developing, implementing, and improving standardized EHS strategies and programs.
- Inspect and evaluate working environments, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Identify potential hazards, collect samples for analysis, and recommend changes to improve safety.
- Develop and enhance EHS main processes, sub‑processes, and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with EHS legal and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead the company EHS Council and conduct routine safety meetings for policy and procedure updates.
- Support and follow EHS committees at plants.
- Build and drive the annual EHS plan.
- Lead internal EHS audits and coordinate external audits.
- Continuously develop and improve the EHS management system.
- Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure achievement of EHS policies, objectives, and targets.
- Provide ongoing safety training for all employees, including orientation training for new hires.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate EHS team members; oversee their career development.
2. Soft Services Management
- Establish and maintain User/Service Level Requirements for all Soft Services.
- Manage technical components of Soft Service‑related RFPs; build processes to assess service proposals and providers.
- Develop performance measurement systems (e.g., scorecards) for service vendors; set annual improvement goals.
- Build audit and inspection plans to monitor contractual service performance; identify gaps and implement corrective/preventive actions with vendors.
- Work closely with service providers and internal users to drive improvements in safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key service vendors.
- Review and approve monthly service reports and invoices for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Establish and publish escalation and incident reporting procedures.
- Act as the main point of contact for formal and legal matters related to Soft Services contract performance.
- Represent Soft Services in internal/external audits and interactions with authorities.
- Manage the Soft Services team in all technical and HR‑related matters.
- Collaborate closely with the Facilities (Hard Services) team to address cross‑functional issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with experience as Assistant Manager level or above
- Strong knowledge of business practices and procedures in the EHS field.
- Ability to apply EHS principles, regulations, and best practices to drive effective actions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong decision‑making skills with an understanding of the business impact of EHS‑related decisions.
Management Scope
- Manage daily operations and a team of executive or non‑executive staff.
- Plan, prioritize, and direct team tasks to achieve business goals.
- Ensure timely completion of objectives, projects, and EHS initiatives.
