Job Purpose

The IQC (Complaint Handling) Officer is responsible for handling all quality complaints related to incoming materials and components, including defect investigation and DDR cases. The role ensures compliance with quality standards, corrective & preventive action from suppliers, and proper documentation in accordance with B. Braun quality systems.


Scope of Work & Responsibilities

1. Supplier & Intercompany Complaint Handling (≈40%)

  • Follow up with intercompany and third‑party suppliers for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Send weekly reminders and track timelines for supplier responses.
  • Review and verify supplier investigation reports and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with PMS team for further actions on affected components/materials.

2. DDR Investigation & Quality Issue Analysis (≈30%)

  • Conduct DDR investigations for IQC materials reported by Warehouse, IQC Technicians, and Production.
  • Verify defect information and perform root cause analysis in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Prepare investigation reports and document findings in BDOCs.

3. Complaint Creation & Quality Documentation (≈20%)

  • Create Intercompany Complaints (IC) in SAP C3 system for material deviations within B. Braun.
  • Initiate formal complaints to third‑party suppliers and coordinate with PMS team.
  • Record supplier quality deviations and complaints in TrackWise system.

4. SAP Goods Movement & Master Data Maintenance (≈5%)

  • Perform SAP goods movement (block/release, Q status) based on inspection and testing results.
  • Maintain and update SAP master data related to IQC materials.

5. System Improvement & Other Tasks (≈5%)

  • Prepare monthly IQC complaint reports.
  • Create and revise SOPs and work instructions.
  • Participate in CSV (Computerized System Validation), Data Integrity (DI), and Change Control (ChC) activities.
  • Support training activities related to IQC and complaint handling.

Authority

  • Block or release incoming materials, semi‑finished, and finished goods.
  • Request required information from Production, Warehouse, PMS, and relevant departments.
  • Initiate DIRs and ICs (C3).
  • Verify and approve incoming inspection reports from IQC technicians.

Internal:

  • Production, Warehouse, PMS, Procurement, QM, Global QC & R&D teams

 

External:

  • Suppliers (complaint investigation, CAPA follow‑up, audits)

Qualification Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with technical background
  • Lean Six Sigma (nice to have)

Experience

  • Knowledge of production processes
  • At least 1 year of experience in Manufacturing Quality Control
  • Experience working with SAP system is an advantage
