We are looking for a Software Engineer for the orthopedic navigation system within the R&D team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Design and develop software solutions for surgical orthopedic navigation, including both the maintenance of existing products and the creation of innovative features for next-generation systems
  • Build clean, modular, and maintainable software components using modern development practices. Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation
  • Work with a diverse range of technologies, including workflow orchestration, pose transformation algorithms, user interface design, and system connectivity
  • Collaborate within an international agile development team, engaging with engineers across the B. Braun network to drive innovation and ensure seamless integration

 

Professional competencies

 

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Passionate Software Engineer with hands-on experience in state-of-the-art development tools and frameworks such as C++, Qt, Git and Azure DevOps
  • Experience in UX/UI design is a valuable asset
  • Strong mathematical abilities in 3D geometry and linear algebra is considered a plus 
  • Proficient in software development on Linux platforms, including command-line tools
  • Committed to high-quality software development, with the ability to structure software modules in a reusable, future-proof format and adopt new architectural and design patterns
  • Experience in medical device development and familiarity with the IEC 62304 standard
