Your Opportunity
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Event Specialist to join our dynamic team where you will play a pivotal role in planning, organising, and executing internal and external events.
This opportunity is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave cover, making it a great chance to contribute to B. Braun’s marketing efforts, ensuring seamless event execution and providing vital support to both internal communications and Aesculap Academy programs.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Communications and Services, your key focus will be the planning and execution of a variety of internal and external events and conferences. This will include developing the brief, identifying venues, negotiating contracts, and marketing and promoting the event, through to handling onsite event logistics and analysing post conference feedback. In addition, you will work with our Marketing team on internal communications and marketing support.
Your Responsibilities
As Events Specialist, you will:
- Develop and implement event plans- from the brief to post event analysis, including budgeting, scheduling, venue selection, booking catering and vendor management.
- Coordinate event logistics, including onsite support and material distribution.
- Promote events through marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives.
- Facilitating the efficient running of Aesculap Academy webinars and seminars for medical professionals
- Support internal communication efforts by distributing newsletters, maintaining the intranet, and creating SharePoint pages.
- Provide marketing support for asset management, sample distribution, and trade shows.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure the success of each event.
About You
To be successful in this role, your background will include:
- Several years’ experience in event coordination and management
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - any experience with SharePoint and Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be highly regarded.
- Strong team orientation and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Previous experience in the medical industry (desirable).
Additional requirement :
To be eligible to apply, you must have full working rights in Australia/NZ, a valid Driver’s Licence, the ability to travel nationally and internationally as required and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
