As a Manager - Product Competence at B. Braun you will play a vital role in….
Your key responsibilities:
- Responsible to ensure successful identification, execution and delivery of engineering projects involving degrees of lowcost automation and new manufacturing technologies, for the areas within scope of accountability. Work closely with Head of Department to set up an organizational structure within BMI addressing core manufacturing processes and the consequences for related technical training.
- Responsible for disciplinary and technical leadership of the area according to the Corporate Rules of Governance. Identify, define and accomplish projects in the area of core production processes in co-operation with internal and external suppliers.
- Responsible for guiding the nominated technical experts from the own organization in the global Corporate Knowledge Networks (CKN) and the related sub-CKN groups.
- Develop suitable strategies to execute governance over the core processes within the area of regional responsibility defined for the Technology Hub BMI in relation to the Operating Model Medical (OMM).
- Drive the collaboration between process development and Research and Development (R&D) to promote the simultaneous engineering process for combined product and process development with the aim of generating manufacturable new products in accordance with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and division’s needs.
- Conduct early evaluations of manufacturing technology suppliers in Asia Pacific (APAC) region which would enhance B. Braun manufacturing capabilities, especially in the area of innovative process technologies. Provide training concepts and execution recommendations for technically skilled workers, to be implemented by a technical training center.
What do you bring to the team:
- BSc / MS c / PhD in Material Science , Material Engineering , Chemistry, or Polymer Chemistry, Biochemistry. Prior experience in plastic/material background.
- Experience and knowledge about plastic polymer properties and behaviour especially about Polyurethane
- Conducting and running proof of concept test related to material change.
- Providing guidance and support to the R&D team on topic related to material.
- Support the lifecycle team related to material change.
