Our Clinical Support Specialist Orthopaedics, will join our experienced Aesculap team. Our Aesculap division has been synonymous with competence in the operating room for over 150 years. The division is a partner for surgical and interventional treatment concepts in inpatient and outpatient care. Aesculap focuses on the following therapeutic areas: abdominal surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, spine surgery, neurosurgery, interventional vascular therapy and sterile goods management. Since 1995 our Aesculap Academy has been keeping medical practitioners, hospital personnel and hospital management fit for the future.

Role Overview:
Clinical Support Specialist Orthopaedics’ are responsible for maintaining an existing customer base, in this role you will become an integral part of the sales team by providing clinical support for strategic accounts in the Leinster area.
- Provide in theatre support to Consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products/orthopaedic implant systems
- Provide accurate information regarding all products and their indications for use to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff
- This is a clinical/educational role. Organize and facilitate educational/clinical advice to customers in an acute setting
- Provide first class service and seamless supply to customer including Implants Systems training, supporting the theatre team to ensure surgical procedures proceed successfully
In this role your core responsibilities will include:
- Provide Clinical Support in Orthopaedic theatre setting for B Braun Hip and Knee (Primary & Revision) procedures to Surgeon/Nurse requirements.
- At all times to represent the Company and its products in a professional manner.
- Provide in theatre support to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products
- Provide accurate information regarding all products and their indications for use to Orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff
- Provide first class service and seamless supply to customer including training, stock checks, timely deliveries and supporting the theatre team to ensure the operation proceeds successfully
- To establish and maintain relationships with key accounts/ customers.
- To keep abreast of developments and trends within the territory and to monitor & feedback competitor activity to Aesculap Business Lead.
- Liaise on a clinical basis with prospective and existing customers to monitor clinical satisfaction and needs.
- Develop good clinical and business relationships with Regional Key Opinion Leaders.
- Promote and grow the key product range with relevant customers with a clinical need for the product, with a specific focus on Orthopaedic Surgeons and hospitals.
- To develop the B Braun Aesculap Orthopaedic/Power Tools portfolio’s.
- To deliver education and training on a group and individual basis – within the Hospital setting – Theatre & HSSD.
- Attend exhibitions and conference’s both nationally and internationally as required.
- Maintain appropriate and up-to-date product knowledge on the Company’s range of products/ services to ensure accuracy of communications and strong reputation and credibility with our customers.

Basic Requirements:
- Experience in Orthopaedics’
- Experience of Theatre
- Proven experience building customer relationships.
- Experience of the local healthcare sector
- Clean Full Driving License
- Flexible to travel regularly throughout Leinster and further as the need arises.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland
