We are looking for a T-shaped Data Engineer (mid-level) with a growing expertise at the intersection of SAP data, process mining (Celonis), and modern Azure-based data engineering.In this role, you will initially support Celonis-related use cases in the production environment, gaining deep insights into SAP-driven business processes. Based on this foundation, you will gradually take over responsibilities in data modeling and pipeline development on our Azure-based Data Intelligence Platform (DIP).You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and continuously develop your expertise towards a well-rounded data engineering and domain profile.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Support and further develop Celonis (process mining) use cases in the production domain
  • Analyze and understand SAP production data structures and process flows
  • Gradually take ownership of data pipeline development on Azure (Databricks, ADF)
  • Design and implement data models for analytical use cases (e.g., medallion / dimensional models)
  • Integrate and transform data from:
    • SAP systems
    • MES systems
    • APIs and other sources
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability for reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with:
    • Data engineers
    • Data scientists
    • Business stakeholders in production
  • Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of data engineering practices

 

Working Model & Collaboration:

  • Mandatory on-site collaboration every two months with the production product team in Melsungen
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders in the production environment
  • Gradual transition from Celonis-focused work → broader DIP data engineering responsibilities
  • Work in an international and agile environment

Professional Competencies:

  • First experience in data engineering on cloud platforms (ideally Azure)
  • Exposure to:
    • Databricks or similar platforms
    • Azure Data Factory (or comparable tools)
  • Good knowledge of Python (Pandas / PySpark basics)
  • Solid SQL skills

 

Data & Modeling Skills:

  • Basic to intermediate data modeling knowledge (e.g., star schema, medallion architecture)
  • Interest in improving modeling skills towards scalable enterprise data structures

 

Domain & Consulting Skills:

  • Interest in SAP data and production processes
  • Initial experience with Celonis or process mining is a plus
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work closely with business stakeholders

    Salary ranges: 15.000 - 17.000 PLN gross monthly.
