For our Global Indirect Procurement department at the Melsungen site, we are looking for a Category Manager (m/f/d) in the Construction, Maintenance & Facility Management team as soon as possible.
Our Global Indirect Procurement is responsible for the external procurement volume of indirect goods and services. Within the Construction, Maintenance & Facility Management Services team, the focus is on concluding contracts for maintenance services for machines and equipment as well as various facility services. These include, among others, building cleaning and pest control, HVAC technology, ventilation systems, building automation, cleaning and care products, disinfectants, and expert services.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, manage, and adapt category strategies, methods, and processes according to agreed objectives and in alignment with stakeholders, continuously seeking optimization potential
- Act in the procurement of maintenance services and facility management services
- Conclude (framework) agreements for service providers and stakeholders at B. Braun sites
- Prepare contracts and documentation using a Contract Lifecycle Management system
- Develop negotiation concepts and strategies and implement them; conducting contract negotiations is also part of your role
- Take responsibility for the strategic and tactical implementation of cost-saving measures as well as active supplier management (e.g., supplier selection, development, and risk management)
- Participate in cross-functional sourcing teams and take on commercial leadership of tender projects
- Additionally, conduct supplier meetings and handle order processes in SAP Ariba and SAP R/3
Professional Competencies:
- Successfully completed degree in business administration (Bachelor) or a comparable field
- Professional experience as a Category Manager in procurement
- Affinity for contract law and experience in identifying potential for optimizing procurement processes, with the goal of realizing cost-saving opportunities
- Proficient in MS Office applications and initial experience with SAP; ideally, you are already familiar with SAP Ariba and SAP R/3
- Excellent German and English language skills
