 Function and Job Description

Position targets

With intelligent solutions and innovative process design B. Braun Global Financial Shared Services improves growth and word-wide success of its subsidiaries. According to our claim “Sharing Expertise”, it is our objective to provide high-quality services for more efficient processes and matching IT-systems. The focus here is on standardization, automation and quality assurance of worldwide financial processes (e.g. financial accounting, controlling) as well as on the interfaces to other areas.

 

 

Qualifications 

Degrees

Professional education in accounting, finance, business, or related fields (university degree)

Work Experiences

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience Accounting.

Responsibilities and Competencies
  • Analysis and creation of contracts in the Leasing Tool “Lease Enabler” according to IFRS 16 standard and the B Braun Global guidance.
  • Review constantly the status of lease contracts to guarantee that all information is updated in the Leasing tool.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of GL accounts to ensure that entries and balances are correct.
  • Preparation of journal entries such as T&E, reimbursements, accruals & provisions, payroll, deferrals, Income tax by ensuring entries are recorded in accordance with global standards and all deadlines are accomplished.
  • Support Month-end and Year-end Closing Processes.
  • Financial Figures reporting through TM1 - IBM Planning Analytics.
  • Active participation in General Ledger Services Rollouts.
  • Support and participation in global Shared Service rollout projects.
  • Constant communication with the Headquarters in Germany.
  • Interaction with accounting departments from different countries within the IBERO-LATAM region.
  • Standardization of General Leger Processes.

 

Language Skills

(European Reference Framework)

English (at least B2)

B2 - Upper-intermediate

 

Portuguese

Would be a plus

 

 

Technical Skills
  • Accounting background
  • Experience in SAP module FI (Finance) would be a plus.
  • Preferably knowledge of further SAP modules would be a plus.
  • Preferably knowledge of IFRS standards (especially General Ledger, IFRS16)
  • Ability communicate in English in a business setting is a must.
