Purpose of the Position

With intelligent solutions and innovative process design B. Braun Global Financial Shared Services improves growth and word-wide success of its subsidiaries. According to our claim “Sharing Expertise”, it is our objective to provide high-quality services for more efficient processes and matching IT-systems. The focus here is on standardization, automation and quality assurance of worldwide financial processes (e.g. financial accounting, controlling) as well as on the interfaces to other areas.

 

Responsibilities

  1.  Analysis and creation of contracts in the Leasing Tool according to IFRS 16 standard and B Braun Global guidance.
  1. Review constantly the status of lease contracts to guarantee that all information is updated in the Leasing tool.
  1. Analysis and reconciliation of GL accounts to ensure that entries and balances are correct.
  1. Preparation of journal entries such as T&E, reimbursements, accruals & provisions, payroll, deferrals, Income tax by ensuring entries are recorded in accordance with global standards and all deadlines are accomplished.
  1. Analysis and posting of existing sales processes to determine the correct IFRS 15/16 approach.
  1. Participation in testing phases of IFRS15 implementation.
  1. Recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions ensuring the integrity of accounting information.
  1. Day-to-day business: entering contracts into SAP granting an appropriate assignment as General Ledger transactions.
  1. Analysis of financial information and summarizing financial status for informed decision-making and maintaining a clear understanding of the company's financial position.
  1. Support and maintenance of country specific asset master data.
  1. Constant assurance of data quality within the area of asset management.
  1. Standardization and improvement of processes within the General Accounting Team.
  1. Perform and support monthly and annual closing activities for companies in service.
  1. Financial Figures reporting through TM1 - IBM Planning Analytics.
  1. Support and participate in service rollout and global project initiatives.
  1. Constant communication with the Headquarters in Germany.
  1. Interaction with accounting departments from different countries within the IBERO-LATAM region
  1. Responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for all contract administration and accounting information for the region.
  1. Other duties as assigned by the area leader.
