Within the sales region Eastern Europe, we are currently looking for a Regional Business Development Manager for the Aesculap division, focussing on ORS portfolio. The future job holder should be based in the region. He/she will report to the Vice President Sales for Aesculap in Eastern Europe. As Business Development Manager the incumbent understands the markets under his/her responsibility and initals spending a significant part of the job in the field: visiting the local marketing & sales teams, having strategic meetings with local division managers (including presence in the Operating Room) as much as possible, while also working closely with Global Product Marketing.
The future position holder will be employed by a company and and based in a country within the region and will report to the Vice President Sales Aesculap for Eastern Europe.
Duties and responsibilities
Implementation of the global strategy together with the local marketing & country sales organizations
Development of marketing and business plans and turnover forecasts for each country assigned
Implementation of Marketing Campaigns and assistance in the introduction of products in group subsidiaries and distribution partners
Collaboration with sales partners (group subsidiaries and distribution partners) to achieve marketing and sales targets
Participation and contribution on the elaboration of potential product & services developments
Advice and updates on programmes, products and Marketing Campaigns in the assigned markets
Design and implementation of trainings
Professional competencies
Bachelor's degree in Business administration or medical related studies
Minimum 5 years’ experience with ORS portfolio on marketing and or sales positions – ideally experience in Surgical Staplers
Advanced language skills in English are a must, further languages, preferably spoken in the region are an asset
Excellent knowledge of medical technology and in the field of surgery
Experience in (direct) sales
International exposure is a plus
High degree of strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and action, as well as social competence and strong
communication skills in an international context
Willingness to international travel (50-70 days per year)
