As a General Manager - Indirect Procurement, APAC at B. Braun, you will play a vital role in… 

 

Your key responsibilities:  

 

  • Provide organizational leadership of the regional representation of Global Indirect Procurement, including Regional Procurement categories and countries. 

  • Lead the steering and leadership of the respective regional organization, covering staffing, employee development, and target setting. 

  • Define, develop, and implement the regional procurement strategy. 

  • Act as a Business Partner and promote Procurement towards stakeholders. 

  • Ensure conformity with compliance rules within the region by being accountable for the implementation of global policies, regulations, and standards. 

  • Deliver input regarding market developments, innovations, and technology trends, and contribute to strategy formulation. 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global category strategies, and define and lead regional ones; assist business partners in their formulation and implementation. 

  • Lead sourcing preparations, executions, awarding, and evaluations, as well as negotiations on a regional level. 

  • Manage regional contracts within contract lifecycle management. 

  • Manage regional purchase management and P2P efficiency, including evaluating and managing claims on a regional level. 

  • Ensure compliant spend management at a regional level. 

  • Lead regional supplier management in line with category-specific supplier strategy and global supplier management, including managing supplier relationships and escalations. 

  • Implement global/regional initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and set priorities for the local organization based on global/regional guidance. 

  • Represent Procurement towards the regional Senior Management. 

  • Part of the Procurement Management Committee, and will provide input into the function’s strategy and development as well as the relevant site leadership management forums. 

 

 

What you will bring to the team:  

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Management or Engineering is required. A Master’s Degree, Apprenticeship (DACH), or PhD is preferred. 

  • At least 10 years of working experience in related fields such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Sourcing or Operational Excellence is required.  

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in related leadership roles (e.g., transformation or procurement leadership) is also necessary. 

  • Proficient understanding of the end-to-end Procurement process, including Plan-to-Strategy, Source-to-Contract, and Purchase-to-Pay, with the ability to apply Procurement standards such as policies and Standard Operating Procedures.  

  • Requires deep knowledge of local and regional legal and regulatory environments, coupled with extensive international and domestic market expertise and strong analytical capability.  

  • Designs, develops, and implements Procurement strategies, transformation initiatives, and change management practices that align with organizational goals, ethics, and compliance standards. 

  • Requires advanced skills in negotiation, transformation projects, and change management with the ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.  

  • Influences decision-making through strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, proactively engaging both internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Applies technical proficiency in Office365 and Procurement software solutions, including P2P, S2C, and Market Intelligence platforms, while working effectively in an international business environment as a collaborative and charismatic team player.  

  • Fluency in English is required, with additional regional languages considered a plus.
