About the Role

 

We are seeking an accomplished and forward‑thinking General Manager / Director – Human Resources to lead all human resource strategy, people programmes, and organisational development initiatives for B. Braun Medical Industries at the country level.

With a diverse workforce of 7,200 employees across both manufacturing sites and central functions, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping organisational capabilities, strengthening culture, and driving workforce readiness to meet local business goals.

As a key member of the local leadership team, you will ensure that our people strategy supports operational excellence, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and long‑term organisational success.


 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a country‑wide HR strategy aligned with BMI’s vision and long‑term business priorities.
  • Lead talent development, labour strategy, skills and competency frameworks, and culture transformation initiatives across the local organisation.
  • Partner with local senior leaders to anticipate workforce needs, close skill gaps, and build future‑ready capabilities.

 

HR Excellence & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR programmes, across HR verticals.
  • Lead, guide, and develop HR managers to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective delivery of HR services across manufacturing and central operations.

 

Culture & Organisational Development

  • Drive culture‑building initiatives to embed ethical leadership, accountability, collaboration, and a high‑performance growth mindset.
  • Champion change management programmes that strengthen engagement, inclusion, and organisational identity.

 

Stakeholder & External Relations

  • Represent BMI in interactions with local external stakeholders including government and regulatory bodies, labour and industrial relations authorities, industry associations and employee unions.
  • Safeguard organisational interests while maintaining strong, credible relationships within the local HR and business community.

 

About You

  • Proven HR leadership experience at General Manager / Senior Director level.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable people strategies for diverse population.
  • Deep expertise in talent, labour, performance, and organisational development.
  • A track record of driving culture transformation and building high‑performance teams.
  • Ability to influence and partner with senior executives across a complex organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
