As an Asst Manager - Strategic Buyer at B. Braun you will play a vital role in….

 

Your key responsibilities:

The role is responsible to perform and steer sourcing initiatives in accordance with relevant category strategies within a
country. This covers demand clarification, performing of sourcing initiatives incl. tendering, negotiation, awarding,
supplier relationship management and managing the purchase order processing for the related sourcing initiatives.
- Ensure achievement of defined objectives and KPIs, incl. delivery of savings targets.
- Report on status of sourcing activities.
- Support category strategy development: Provide local requirements and data, participate in category working groups,
align with local stakeholders.
- Support implementation of category strategies within country.
- Clarify sourcing request, align and finalize specification with requestor, review if sourcing is required in alignment with
category sourcing strategy.
- Define sourcing strategy / RFX approach.
- Define long-list for sourcing, considering preferred suppliers from category strategy.
- Manage RFX process incl. negotiation and evaluation of proposals.
- Manage supplier selection decision making and supplier awarding.
- Manage contract creation and review process with internal functions and supplier.
- Manage sign-off and archiving of contract.
- Monitor contract usage, expiration / renewal.
- Support commercial aspects of e-catalog management.
- Manage supplier registration and pre-qualification of country specific suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance (hard and soft facts).
- Perform supplier classification.
- Manage supplier performance, create development plans, define and track improvement measures.
- Conduct supplier disqualification and phase-out.
The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from
time to time.

 

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as Strategic Buyer specifically in CAPEX and Production related categories.

  • Strong negotiation and procurement capabilities with a proven track record of delivering results.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to manage and align stakeholder expectations effectively. Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and provide actionable recommendations or solution.

  • Good in Supplier management, including performance evaluation and relationship building.

  • Good in Contract Management within stakeholder & suppliers.

  • Good exposure in driving / leading Sustainability activities at own category
