- Work with our requirements management tool Polarion and other quality-management tools to document requirements, risks, evidence, and test results.
- Contribute to use-related risk management in accordance with ISO 14971, including the identification of potential use errors, critical tasks and appropriate risk-control measures.
- Support the integration of an existing certified product into the B. Braun portfolio while helping to establish the usability approach for newly developed platform applications.
- Apply B. Braun design guidelines and collaborate with UX/UI specialists to support a consistent user experience across products and applications.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, clinical advisors, product owners, software developers, UX/UI designers, quality and regulatory experts, and risk managers.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve usability, use safety and user experience over the product lifecycle.
Your professional qualifications

- Several years of relevant experience in usability engineering or human factors for medical devices, medical software or another regulated healthcare environment.
- Sound knowledge and practical application of IEC 62366-1, ISO 14971 and relevant FDA human factors guidance.
- Experience with usability engineering files, design controls, requirements engineering and the documentation needed for regulatory submissions.
- Experience in planning and moderating usability studies with representative users and translating findings into actionable requirements and design recommendations.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to create clear, complete and audit-ready records.
- Professional proficiency in English. Additional language skills are welcome.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within internationally distributed and multidisciplinary teams.
Additional experience that would be a plus

- Experience in oncology, clinical nutrition, medication-related workflows or hospital software.
- Ability to develop screen concepts, user flows, low-fidelity prototypes or wireframes and define the functions required on a screen.
- Experience in user research, including planning and conducting research activities and translating insights into product or design decisions.
- Experience with medical software classified under the EU Medical Device Regulation, particularly Class IIb products.
- Experience supporting the integration or redevelopment of an existing certified software product.
Your personal strengths
