Position Summary

B. Braun's Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in the Life Sciences industry through meaningful software and engineering projects. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real business initiatives, and present their project outcomes at the end of the internship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with software development, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support automation, data analysis, and process improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Analyze data and support application and database-related projects.
  • Present internship project results and key learnings to department leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:
    • Computer Science / Software Engineering
    • Biomedical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering (with software experience)
  • Sophomore standing or higher.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:
    • C#, C++, C, Python, SQL, .NET, PHP
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Embedded or desktop application development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and engineering concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and apply it to practical solutions.

Hourly Pay Rate

$19.50 - $25.50 per hour

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range provided is a reasonable estimate.
