OT Business Partner / Automation Engineer

The person joining the position of OT Business Partner /Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing digitalization projects in the field of Operational Technology (OT) within production and laboratory environments. This role requires a versatile profile combining technical, management, and communication skills to ensure constant interaction with business areas, enabling projects to be delivered on time, within budget, and with the expected quality.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the demand for automation and OT projects within the assigned business area
  • Communicate effectively with the assigned business area as well as with internal specialists
  • Define and plan OT projects in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensure proper reporting of the activities carried out
  • Develop operational procedures in coordination with their manager and the PMO
  • Advise on key decisions and business strategy in line with global guidelines
  • Support supplier evaluation and participate in their selection
  • Supervise internal or external work teams, ensuring compliance with timelines and costs
  • Coordinate with suppliers for service delivery and implementation of new projects
  • Review OT system designs to ensure they meet objectives
  • Provide technical leadership

Professional Competencies

  • University degree in Automation, Computer, Industrial, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional experience in engineering, systems integration, and/or machinery manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, databases, industrial communications, etc.)
  • Ability to manage complex OT projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of OT systems in regulated environments (preferably pharmaceutical)
