We are looking for an MES Application Engineer / Developer (f/m/d) for our Factory Automation division at the Melsungen site, to start as soon as possible.
Become part of our digital transformation and take responsibility for the global implementation and further development of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform for discrete manufacturing. The Execution & Control Team plays a key role in this, as it is responsible for the implementation and development of the IT/OT system landscape as well as the development of standards and suitable software solutions for the shopfloor or for the communication of production resources to the products. As an MES Application Engineer / Developer (f/m/d), your task is to develop functions within the MES in projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support and further development of the MES Application
- In close collaboration with our deployment team and the vendor Critical Manufacturing, you omplement new process solutions in the MES using C#
- During development, you are responsible for creating, executing, and approving unit tests, as well as validating and monitoring including support

You work closely with the development team to continuously optimize CI/CD workflows and build efficient deployment pipelines

You conduct risk-based analyses and evaluations of existing business and production processes
Professional Competencies
- You have successfully completed a degree in engineering, computer science, business informatics, or you are currently pursuinig your studies and have already gained professional experience in production-related IT
- You bring strong epertise in programming languages such as C# and have knowledge of container infrastructure
- You are proficient and goal-oriented in working with tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Grafana and SQL
- Initial experience with MES systems and discrete manufacturing is desirable

- A strong service and customer orientation defines your working style
- Your approach is structured and analytical
- You possess strong conceptual thinking skills
- You have very good English skills, both spoken and written, German skills are an advantage
